My Needle is My Paintbrush.
I have been creating unique embroidery art most of my life. From a child at my grandmother’s knew through my youth embroidering on clothing to now creating statement pieces based on my life and world travels.
Historically embroidery has been used to record history, tell a story, embellish clothing and utilitarian items. I have based my work on function (clothing, table runners, wall art). And generally followed the traditional techniques producing regular pieces if standard frame-able sizes.
Now I am enjoying blending the traditional world with the fantasy and political world and using my art form to encourage you to look at your world with eyes wide open.
