At the gallery Brandon Johnson is displaying a series of original, colorful depictions of animals of the Chinese zodiac. The style of the works is inspired by traditional and folk art, neoexpressionism, and urban artforms such as graffiti. They are painted on canvas with gesso, gouache and acrylic paint pens, and sealed with cold wax. Brandon lives in Grants Pass with his wife and two children. He is a self taught artist, resuming after a thirty-year hiatus.
